1. Services

Write Legal prepares legal documents at the specific direction of the customer. We are not attorneys. We cannot give legal advice, choose forms or strategy for you, determine your legal rights, or represent you in court. Services are subject to availability and scheduling, and to the scope allowed for a California legal document assistant.

2. Quotes and Fees

We explain the preparation work and our fees in writing before work begins, together with the written disclosures and agreement California law requires. Court, recording, and other third-party fees are listed separately in your written service agreement.

3. Payments

This website does not collect payments.

4. Appointments

Our Arroyo Grande and Lancaster offices are open by appointment only. Please schedule before you come. The Ridgecrest address is a mailing and document drop-off address and is not a meeting office.

5. Using This Website

The information on this website is general and is not legal advice. Please do not send confidential records through the contact form. Sending a message through this website does not create an agreement for services until you receive and accept our written service agreement.

6. Privacy

How we handle the information you send us is described in the privacy policy on this website.

7. Intellectual Property

The content of this website, including the text and the Write Legal name and logo, belongs to Write Legal or its licensors. You may view it for your own personal use. Please do not copy or reuse it without our permission.

8. Disclaimers

We prepare documents as directed, and the court or agency decides whether to accept them. We make no promise about the outcome of any filing or how long it will take. Deadlines, forms, and fees set by courts and agencies can change, so please confirm them with the court or agency.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for delays beyond our reasonable control. Our liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service that gave rise to the claim.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The new version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top.
