Why Us

Questions
The law says that unless the trust says otherwise, the person who made the trust can modify a revocable trust by the same procedure used to revoke it. The trust may set its own method. We prepare the change you direct and match it to the method in your trust.
An amendment changes named provisions. A restatement replaces the whole text while keeping the same trust and creation date. Whether a house must be re-deeded or accounts re-registered depends on how the trust is set up, so ask the county recorder or your financial institution. We prepare the one you direct.
California's trust laws on revoking and modifying a trust do not themselves require a notary or witness, but your trust may set its own method. We prepare the amendment from the changes you give us.
The law says each person who made the trust can revoke the part they contributed unless the trust says otherwise. For community property in a revocable trust, changes can involve both spouses. We prepare what you direct and cannot advise on how the rules apply to you.
The law says an agent under a power of attorney cannot modify or revoke a trust unless the trust expressly allows it. Please read your trust. We can prepare documents at your direction but cannot advise on authority.
